The Best Camping Lake Experience I Know Of
Best Lake In Pennsylvania
The other day we were visiting my brother and sister in law while they were camping at Raystown Lake in the Bay campground. As I was chatting with my father in law, who was also visiting, he told me that he had been talking to some RV'ers recently and they told him that they had been to many lakes in Pennsylvania and that Raystown Lake was on the best of their list in Pennsylvania.
Maybe I'm Partial Because...
Personally, I may add, perhaps being quite partial, that I too agree that Raystown Lake is the best lake in Pennsylvania because my husband and I were married at Raystown Lake in the Ampitheator September 18, 2005. We had a preception at the pavilion across from the Ampitheator.
We also recently had our first "family" camping experience with our toddlersat Raystown Lake. Lake Raystown camping is clean and very family oriented.

Some Fun Things We Like At Raystown Lake
Safe Swim Area And Picnicing
Raystown Lake has plenty of space in their fun roped off sanded beach area. They also have a water trampoline your kids can jump on and jump into the water. There is a refreshment stand at the top of the beach area where there are clean showers and bathrooms available. The surrounding beach and picnic areas are very pet friendly.
On the other side of the boat dock they have other picnic and beach areas that are not roped off.
Safe and Fun Playgrounds
Raystown Lake has many safe and fun playgrounds dispersed throughout their camping, beach, and picnicing areas. Our two toddlers could have hours of fun climbing. sliding, hopping, swinging all over the playground equipment.
Feed The Huge Carp
Bring your own bread or dogfood or buy some food at the boat dock and feed the huge carp that gather quickly together for a feast!
